What is Walk and Talk Therapy:
Walk & Talk therapy is a simple, yet modern approach to therapy that takes therapy beyond the couch. This alternative technique can be very beneficial, especially for those who don’t feel comfortable with more traditional office-based methods.
It is a Mindfulness Movement that can feel grounding and meditative. It can create a space of calmness; releasing unwanted physical energy.
Walking while talking to your therapist will produce an opportunity for deeper processing of your thoughts and feelings in a different way. Walking & Talking changes the overall dynamic between client and therapist. Facing forward rather than maintaining eye contact can make the encounter feel less intense. This casual approach often empowers people to talk more freely and easily; especially when discussing difficult or sensitive issues.
Walk & Talk therapy requires an initial counseling session in our office or virtual to discuss expectations and find out if Walk & Talk therapy is right for you.
How Can Walk and Talk Therapy Help Me:
