What you can expect in Sessions
“Nothing changes if nothing changes” (Ernie Larson), and I am here to guide you through your journey of change. I believe that everyone has an inner strength to make positive changes towards a happier and more fulfilling life. I offer my clients practical coping skills for dealing with stress and anxiety. I also provide a safe space to process deep emotions associated with trauma, low self-esteem, negative body image, and relationship issues.
Why I am a Psychotherapist
I chose to become a therapist because mental health is oftentimes overlooked, and a person may feel stuck, alone, or helpless in solving a problem. My personal life experiences awakened my interest in how people’s feelings and thoughts affect their behaviors. I feel inspired by seeing transformation in my clients when they lead more satisfying, healthier, and happier lives.
My experience includes working with adolescents and adults who struggle with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, OCD, and depression and also with adults who deal with substance use disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, and anxiety.
I use a welcoming, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to help my clients set personal goals to make a change, effectively cope with difficult emotions, break the pattern of negative thoughts and self-talk, as well as derive inner power and confidence. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and culture-informed approach into my sessions to achieve long-lasting results. Let’s work together on creating the change in your life you have been waiting for!
